Celebration of "Margaret Fuller", a book by author Megan Marshall. Margaret Fuller was a prominent intellectual, writer and reformer who was born in Cambridge, MA and lived a brief but rich life in America and Italy from 1810 to 1850. She was sent to Rome by a New York newspaper to report on the Italian revolution of 1848. There she fell in love with an Italian revolutionary soldier and had a child with him. While returning with her family to America in 1850, they all died in a shipwreck off the coast of New York. The event is open to the public.
